I was recently reminded of this site when this beauty appeared in my news feed earlier this week.  This and pretty much any of their bags are on my wishlist…and I should probably add the camera to go with them.

I had heard of this film in passing, but never really gave it too much attention.  We were trying to decide what to watch for a family movie night last night and settled on this one, because the trailer looked kind of funny.  I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was very entertaining.  I still feel like I haven’t completely processed my thoughts on it, but it definitely held my attention.  I found myself having no clue how it was going to turn out and not being certain how I even wanted it to end.  If you’re into quirky films with interesting writing, definitely check this one out.

This evening was magical! I attended The Royal Winter Fair and my rural self had a hay day. There were so many highlights that I will do multiple posts. But, let’s start with GOATS.

How could I not include this? So much to enjoy about this interview.  Mainly I love hearing someone speak so passionately about film (and I so agree about the commercials before movies bit).  But I can also appreciate the charm of Mr. JGL. Enjoy!

Catchy songs that make you say ‘Whaaat?’ upon lyrical analysis. (Part 4 of 4)

#4. This summer’s catchy hit: “Glad You Came” by The Wanted

Damn this song and its catchiness. Damn it, I say. I will even admit to having it in my library. There’s something about the summertime that makes me gravitate toward pop songs like nobody’s business. Anyways, so I hear this song everywhere. Ladies and gentlemen of all ages have really turned to the boy bands in a big way. (FYI, in case you haven’t noticed: boy bands are BACK.) And keeping with true boy band fashion, their songs are often laden with double entendres. This gem is no exception.

#3. Good Girls Go Bad by Cobra Starship (ft. Leighton Meester)

Not gonna lie, I find this to be a catchy tune. Let’s face it, at one point or another in her life, every lady will have a thing for the bad boy. Hence, she heard that he was trouble but she couldn’t resist. But I’m just not too sure about this song. I’m concerned about when she says she’d be stupid to trust him but, apparently one night couldn’t be so wrong. Wrong! A lot can happen in a night! Take for instance, any thriller ever made. A lot usually goes down in the span of one night. And then he’s all like “I make the good girls go bad”! Oh you dangerous huh? For serious, what does that even mean? Do you lead them into a life of crime? Are you a consigliere? And why are you so proud of this skill?

#2. Katy Perry’s summer hit from 2011: Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)

I like this song! It’s super catchy and I have been known to bop around to it occasionally when I think my roommate isn’t looking. So: super catchy, super fun! But again, not too sure if it would be as fun if it was a non-fictional account of last Friday night. The first words of this songs are “There’s a stranger in my bed”! Be alarmed Katy! Stranger danger! Let’s look at the progression of her account of last Friday night shall we:

#1. The B-52’s classic: Love Shack

I mean, yes! This song about a funky little shack is the best! Yes, it’s a little old place where you can get together, but let’s take a minute to talk about what this said “love shack”, affectionately called the ‘love getaway’, would actually be like. Let’s begin with your whale-sized car, sir.
